张瀛女士,著名女作家,也是一名美食家,演讲家和旅行家。她创作领域广泛,在小说、儿童读物、烹饪书籍创作领域都颇有建树,被美国专业图书评价节目“作家秀”提名为 “五十位必读作者”之一。

她曾任《玛莎•斯图尔特完全生活指南》杂志食物专栏编辑,并被视为美国的亚洲饮食文化权威之一。她著有作品二十余本,获奖颇丰。她对饮食的热爱使得食物这一元素贯穿了她的写作,包括烹饪书籍、小说及青少年绘本。

从张瀛女士的文字中,大可窥见其对于饮食的热爱。其中, 以自身童年文革经历为灵感创作的小说《革命不是请客吃饭》受誉颇丰,获得了三十多项美国与国际奖项。此书被全球多地列入课纲推荐阅读书目,还在美国“一城一书” 阅读项目中,被圣克拉拉市选为城市读物。 最近,母子二人共著的新书《探秘兵马俑》也在世界范围内广受好评,并屡次获奖,被评论家称作“夺宝奇兵般的传奇”。

创作之余,张瀛女士频繁受邀于世界各地高等游船,学校等各组织机构发表演讲、谈论她在美国的求学之路,创作生涯, 健康饮食与游历东西的经历:她生于武汉,后赴美求学,获得科罗拉多大学的社会学硕士学位。张瀛女士目前正同几家电影公司商谈把她的作品改编成游戏和电影。
